A drop-in replacement core for a basin drain. Press it once to seal the basin, press again to let it go. Underneath the cap is a slotted basket that catches hair before it reaches the trap, and it lifts out in one piece so you can empty it over the bin.

How to use it
- Measure the hole You need a drain opening between 3.4 and 4 cm across, which covers most standard 1¼ to 1½ inch basin drains. A tape measure across the opening settles it in ten seconds.
- Take the old one out Lift out the existing plug or strainer core. If your basin has a lift rod behind the tap, unhook it — you will not be using it again.
- Push the new core in The two silicone rings compress against the wall of the drain and hold it. No thread to line up, no sealant, no tools.

Common questions
How do I know it will fit my basin?
Measure straight across the drain opening in the bottom of the basin. Anything between 3.4 and 4 cm works, which is most standard 1¼ to 1½ inch basin drains. Outside that range it will not seal, so measure before you order.
Will it work in a kitchen sink or a bath?
This is a basin core. Kitchen sinks and baths usually take a much larger opening, and baths have an overflow linkage this does not replace.
What happens to my existing lift rod?
It stops being part of the drain. Pull the old core out, unhook the rod underneath if there is one, and leave it. The new core is operated entirely from above.
