Common questions
Is it a blender?
No, and it is worth being clear about that. It is a stirrer: it dissolves powders, syrups and sugar into liquid at speed. It will not crush ice, blitz frozen fruit or turn oats into a smoothie — a whisk on a small motor is not a blade.
Can I put boiling water in it?
Yes. The body is borosilicate, the same glass used for lab and stovetop ware, so thermal shock is not the risk it is with ordinary glass. It is single-walled, though, which means the glass itself gets hot — hold it by the handle.
How is it powered?
By batteries housed in the handle, which slide in from the end. Because the power lives in the handle rather than the base, the glass and the lid are free to be washed normally.
