Self-Adhesive Leather Repair Patch
Details
A sheet of pebble-grain faux leather, half a millimetre thick, with the adhesive already on the back. Cut it to shape with scissors, peel, press it down. A split car seat or a cat-scratched sofa arm stops being the first thing you see in the room, in about five minutes.
Why you’ll like it
- Match the grain, not just the colour. Most colours here carry a litchi pebble grain; the dark browns run finer and smoother. Photograph your sofa in daylight and compare.
- Colour reads darker in the flesh. Screens flatter. If you are between two shades, the slightly darker one usually disappears better against aged leather.
- Bigger is cheaper per patch. One large sheet cut into pieces costs far less than several small ones, and every piece then matches every other.
How to use it
- Clean and dry Wipe with alcohol or soapy water and let it dry completely. Adhesive will not hold on a greasy or dusty surface.
- Cut to shape Ordinary scissors. Overlap the damage generously and round the corners.
- Peel and place Expose a corner of the adhesive, line it up, then peel back as you lay it down to avoid trapping air.
- Press firmly Work from the middle outwards with your thumb, pressing hardest along the edges. Leave it a day before heavy use.

Common questions
Will it match my sofa exactly?
Honestly, rarely — leather ages and no flat sheet matches a worn panel perfectly. The trick is to stop trying to hide a small patch and instead cover a whole panel to its seams, so the eye reads a deliberate surface rather than a repair. If you can, order the small size first as a colour sample.
Why are some sizes greyed out in my colour?
Not every size is stocked in every colour. The 20 × 30 cm, 50 × 68 cm and 50 × 137 cm sheets come in all nineteen; the long 35 × 137 cm runs only in black, dark brown, light brown, white and wine red. Pick your colour first and the available sizes will show.
How long does it hold?
On a clean, dry, low-flex surface it holds for years. On a seat bolster that folds every time somebody gets in the car, expect the edges to want attention eventually. Preparation is what decides this: the failures we hear about are almost always a surface that was not degreased first.
